We all know him as Bryan Michael Cox, B. Cox, or NachoJohnny on Twitter. Ocean’s 7 knows him as Leon Phelps aka The Texas Ranger. Thanks to Quincy Jones writing “Thriller” and the plethora of tracks created by Teddy Riley over the years, we have among us another legend. On Sept. 19, Bryan was inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame. So, just who is this musical genius? Journey with J’Adore as we take a look inside the man that is B. Cox, aka Leon Phelps.
Bryan Michael Cox has been writing hits since the late 90s. He has penned hits for such industry notables as Monica, Mariah Carey, Danity Kane, Mary J. Blige, Usher and Toni Braxton, just to name a few. Music has definitely changed over the years, as has the industry itself. Bryan has always managed to stay ahead of the times and remain relevant in the industry. It’s no wonder the industry is poised to recognize the talents of such a gifted songwriter.
